About this Project

Tailor Engineering worked for Clegg Group as specialist element designer for a mix of reinforced soil structures (RSS) with a total length of 380 m and maximum retained height of 8.70 m. The face angle of the RSS varies from 45 degrees to 76 degrees. Based on locations, geometry and loading involved, the structures are built up using Class 6I/J or  Class 2C/7D fills.

Clegg Group have been appointed to deliver this new state-of-the-art material recycling facility. The new recycling facility – located on former allotment land adjacent to CSWDC’s Energy from Waste facility – will be set on a four-acre site and span across 12,000m².

Sherbourne Recycling is wholly owned by eight local authorities – including Coventry City Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, North Warwickshire District Council, Rugby Borough Council, Strafford District Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Walsall Council and Warwick District Council) – with each partner committing to a long-term waste supply agreement.

The facility is expected to be fully operational by summer 2023 and will be able to process 175ktpa recyclate from both domestic and commercial sources.
